What separates your business from your competition? Any business that you’re in can benefit from today’s advice on the Nice Guys podcast.

Call to action- Free audio version of Doug’s book “Nice Guys Finish First”, just reach out and tell us you want it. So many ways to get it free, just pick 1, or 2 just to be safe.

TechTalk- OneNote from Microsoft. A truly amazing digital notebook and you can get the basic version for free. Microsoft isn’t even paying us to say this (and God knows they can afford it!) so it must be good. https://www.onenote.com/

Signature Advice- Capitalism works. It keeps everyone in check because tomorrow, somebody could choose to do what you’re doing now and do it cheaper, faster or better. To succeed you have to be different, but how? Here are the best ways, pick one that works for you, or 2 just to be safe:

Be Nicer- Give better customer service. If you haven’t figured this one out from listening to our podcasts…Listen again.

Be Cheaper- Wal-Mart does it, but do you really want to compete with them?

Be Better- Improve the quality, do it better than anyone else.

Be Faster- Find an industry that is slow, and be faster than everyone else!

Be Specialer- Don’t focus on everyone, become the expert in a very specific field (“Specialer” is a word, right?)

What have we missed? How have you made yourself stand out that we didn’t mention? Let us know and we’ll give you a shout out on a future podcast.
