Yes it’s true I did go to Disney, but not to see a mouse, instead to hear a mouth. More specifically, the poetic voice , you see how I did that Sekou – a amazing voice in a new category of awesomeness. That of Sekou (SAY – Koo) Andrews, last summer at a National Speakers Association meeting. And it is no surprise that it took over a year to get him on the show. You might find Sekou keynoting at a leadership conference, helping a global brand with messaging, or performing for Barack Obama in Oprah Winfrey’s backyard. Sekou is a school teacher turned national poetry slam champion and he also trains speakers to unlock their own Stage Might using rock star performance techniques. Sekou does more than inspire us with his story; he inspires us with our story. I’m thinking about making mine, “Nerd is the new sexy.”
